The Grand Hotel Ambasciatori in Sorrento, Italy, was absolutely beautiful…stunning…with ocean views. The breakfast room was elegant, and the food was delicious. The staff could not have been more friendly. Our rooms were spotless, and we were given fresh water bottles daily.
The location was quiet and yet only an easy 10-minute walk to Sorrento.
From there, we went by boat to Naples, the Island of Capri, and Positano. When I return home, I will tell you about our cooking class and our progressive dinner and give kudos to the people who made our time in Sorrento exceptional.
It pays to know in advance about excursions etc. A solemn warning to all those wanting to travel to Italy this year...it is full, the hotels are full, and it's not easy to find a place to stay. Make reservations immediately!
