He was adopted in 1892 by the Fratarcangeli family.
Adopted father: FRATARCANGELI, GIOVANNI, FU, PETRANGELO
Adopted mother: Sordilli Rosina
Adopted from Rome in Boville Ernica
He immigrated to the United States in 1913 and came to Ellis Island on The Santa Ana from Naples.
He came with one of his adopted brothers and a cousin by the name of Enrico Mariani.
He grew up in Ripi, Italy until he left home at the age of 16.
On his ship registry, he said he went to find his friend, Vincencio Visilli. He was sponsored by the CANALE family in Susquehanna, PA. He cousin ENRICO MARIANI DIED IN 1969 IN DETROIT, MI.
In the region of Ripi, Fratarcangeli, Mariani, and Canale are plentiful and many settled in north east Pennsylvania to work on the railroad.
There are members in the hundreds of Fratarcaneli’s living in the United States. I simply need to find the line of Rosina and Giovanni.
